Spanish Official State Bulletin Translation

In the article I will discuss my translation of a Spanish Official State Bulletin.

This refers to the edition of Thursday 5 March 2009, Bulletin number 55.

Within this state bulletin I am concerned with the translation of the information on the Certificate of Higher Technician in Early Childhood Education.

The publication is very dense with a great deal of information on all aspects of the study and training required to graduate with the qualification as above.

When I set about translating this my first step was the careful reading of the entire Spanish text.

To keep a clear mind, I did not immediately read similar texts in English.

This is to avoid being influenced by how such academic courses are delivered in Britain.

I wanted to gain an in depth understanding of how the Spanish Ministry of Education, Social Policy and Sports approaches the training of Early Childhood teachers.
